H.E. President Ndayishimiye receives Hon. John Mulimba

H.E. President Évariste Ndayishimiye today received Hon. John Mulimba, the Special Envoy of the President of Uganda H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Hon. Mulimba is Uganda's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Affairs.

The Special Envoy was accompanied by a team from the Embassy of Uganda led by Ambassador Maj Gen (rtd) Matayo Kyaligonza, Uganda’s Ambassador to Burundi. The team met the Burundian Head of State at the Presidential Palace of Gitega

 

4th edition of the joint HACKATHON by Ngozi University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology

This weekend the Embassy of Uganda Officials attended the closing ceremony for the 4th edition of the University of Ngozi and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) joint HACKATHON at the Ngozi University Bujumbura campus. The Embassy was represented by Mr. Wafula James Bichachi and Mr. Tarsis Turyasingura. 

Official unveiling of the aerobics program for Ugandans living in Burundi

Sports enthusiasts and fitness fanatics among the Ugandan community living in Burundi came together this morning to take part in the inaugural activities during the official unveiling of the aerobics program. The Embassy of Uganda in Bujumbura participated in the activies, donating refreshements and helping secure the grounds.

The program seeks to strengthen the sense of brotherhood and sisterhood among the Ugandan community in Burundi. It is hoped that this will also foster a healthy lifestyle and create more connections within the community. 

President Museveni attends 11th Heads of State and Government Summit in Burundi

President Yoweri Museveni and other regional leaders were in Bujumbura, Burundi for the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the signatory Countries of the Framework Agreement for Peace, Security and Cooperation for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Region. 

 

Embassy staff at hand to be with H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni after 20th EAC extraordinary summit

Uganda Embassy staff, led by H.E. Maj. Gen (Rtd.) Matayo Kyaligonza converged at the Melchior Ndadaye Airport in Burundi to wish the visiting Head of State of Uganda, H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, a safe journey back home. This was after the 20th Extra-ordinary meeting of the EAC Heads of State that was held in Bujumbura.

The Embassy of Uganda was deeply honoured to play a part in the successful visit of the President.
