Embassy staff at hand to be with H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni after 20th EAC extraordinary summit

Uganda Embassy staff, led by H.E. Maj. Gen (Rtd.) Matayo Kyaligonza converged at the Melchior Ndadaye Airport in Burundi to wish the visiting Head of State of Uganda, H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, a safe journey back home. This was after the 20th Extra-ordinary meeting of the EAC Heads of State that was held in Bujumbura.

The Embassy of Uganda was deeply honoured to play a part in the successful visit of the President.

The Ugandan President H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni arrives in Bujumbura for the 20th Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State of East Africa, being held today at State House (Ntare Rushatsi House).

 

Uganda Embassy is ensuring a successful visit for the Head of State and delegation.

Uganda Embassy participates in Senior Command and Staff College Cultural Day Exhibition

The Senior Command and Staff College - Kinanira, Burundi held its annual cultural day exhibition.

 

Uganda has two students from UPDF conducting their studies at the institution.

 

The event involved cultural music, dances and sampling of food from participating countries.

Embassy of Uganda celebrates Uganda@60 in style

The Embassy of Uganda celebrated the 60th Independence Day Celebrations at the Chancery grounds on Sunday the 9th October 2022.

The event was hosted by the Uganda Embassy in Burundi. Over 400 Ugandans were in attendance, in what was a colourful and joyous occassion. Members of the Diplomatic Corps and International Community were in attendance.

Ugandan entertainers, Ugandan food and Ugandan drinks were enjoyed at the event, which serves annually to strengthen the bond among the Ugandan Diaspora in Burundi.

Countdown to the 60th Independence Day Celebrations

The Embassy of Uganda in Burundi, working closely with the Association of Ugandans Living in Burundi, is in the final stages of organizing the 60th Independence celebrations slated to take place at the lush grounds of the Embassy of Uganda Chancery, in Bujumbura. 

The event is scheduled to begin on Sunday 9th October 2022 from 3pm (Central Africa Time) up to 8pm. 

Ambassador Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Matayo Kyaligonza, the Ugandan Ambassador to Burundi, will be the chief Host of the celebrations.
