Uganda Embassy joined the University of Ngozi in celebrating the latter’s 25 years of existence. The university is the first private university in Burundi, established in 1999. It was set up in the province of Ngozi, in the north of the country, and over time, it opened a campus in the city of Bujumbura which currently houses the Faculty of Medicine. 

The University of Ngozi has a memorandum of understanding with Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) of Uganda, which the Embassy of Uganda played a significant part in facilitating. 

Uganda has been recognised as one of the university’s greatest partners in the last 25 years. The Embassy of Uganda was represented by Mr. Tarsis Turyasingura, the First Secretary.
