4th edition of the joint HACKATHON by Ngozi University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology
This weekend the Embassy of Uganda Officials attended the closing ceremony for the 4th edition of the University of Ngozi and Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) joint HACKATHON at the Ngozi University Bujumbura campus. The Embassy was represented by Mr. Wafula James Bichachi and Mr. Tarsis Turyasingura.
The three day conference focused on innovation to fight malnutrition in Burundi. Students participated and competed among themselves in trying to be innovative around this theme. The best three groups received awards in form of cash to motivate them in the area of innovation.
University of Ngozi and Mbarara University of Science and Technology signed an MOU in areas of education and technology. The embassy coordinated the initiation, negotiation and eventual signing of the MOU. Over the years, the MUST – Ngozi partnership has held joint hackathons organised by CAMTech and the Club Vision Santé (CVS) of University of Ngozi.
The implementation of the MOU promises tremendous mutual benefits for students of both universities and the institutions themselves.
