Uganda Embassy Bujumbura in conjunction with stakeholders in the education sector in both the Republic of Uganda and the Republic of Burundi will hold an Education Exhibition at Donatus Conference Centre on the 15th of February 2025, from 09:00Hrs -17:00Hrs

Education has played a significant role in the development and integration of the East Africa Community, with many prominent personalities from EAC member states graduating from Uganda education institutions.

The event will present an opportunity for Burundian stake holders in the education sector to link and network with their counterparts from the Republic of Uganda.

With over 25 Universities and secondary schools from Uganda confirming participation, there will be presentations from Ministry of Education officials of the Republic of Uganda on the latest enhanced education curriculum and the Uganda education system that is now designed to enable learners to develop skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and communication, thereby honing an integrated approach to learning.

As the region works towards achieving the sustainable development goals that include ending poverty, quality education, decent work and economic growth on one hand, and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development on the other, the Government of Uganda has been at the forefront of sharing its success in the education sector and this has enabled it reduce the illiteracy rate and develop its human capital development and further collaborate with its brotherly countries in different sectors.

The Embassy takes this opportunity to invite you to the UGANDA EDUCATION EXPO 2025 as we strengthen and enhance the cordial bilateral relations that exist between the Republic of Burundi and the Republic of Uganda by further cooperating in the education sector in line with the AU charter on education.
