A certificate of non impediment to marriage is issued by the Embassy to a Ugandan National who intends to marry a Foreign National whose country requires such a certificate.
These nationalities include:
Burundian
Congolese- DRC
Rwandese
Any other whose country may so request
Requirements:
Two passport size photographs
A copy of a formal identity card - National ID or Passport
A letter of no objection from your parents i.e. the Ugandan parents.
Clearance from Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB)
A Sworn AFFIDAVIT before a Commissioner of Oaths or a High Court Judge to the effect that you are single and there are no legal or social impediments to your intended marriage.
Processing period- One week after submission of the documents.
Fee- FBU 20,000= Twenty Thousand Only.
Note: For marriage in the church, the church may require other documents like:
Baptism Certificate
Confirmation Certificate
A letter of approval from your church in Uganda etc
