3rd JPC between Uganda and Burundi begins in Bujumbura

The Republic of Uganda and the Republic of Burundi are holding the 3rd Session of the Joint Permanent Commission Meeting from Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th March 2022 in Bujumbura.

This meeting is designed to further bolster the excellent cordial bilateral relations between both countries with the aim of reviewing cooperation in various sectors of Diplomatic and Political Consultations, Trade & Investment, Education, Health, Agriculture, Transport, and Infrastructural Development Defence to mention but a few.

Day one is expected to tackle the issues in three categories of economic affairs, social affairs, and security & defense. This is expected to continue into day two. Day three is slated for the ministerial session.

Uganda and Burundi enjoy historical cordial relations and the Embassy of Uganda in Bujumbura is confident that significant MOUs will be signed between the two sister countries.
