East African Regional Tourism Exhibition Commences in Bujumbura

The Embassy of Uganda in Bujumbura, in collaboration with tourism stakeholders from Uganda joined other exhibitors from the East African Community to participate in the second edition of East African Regional tourism exhibition.

The event, hosted by the Government of Burundi commenced on 24th Septemper 2022 and ends on the 29th September 2022. It was officially opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Burundi H.E Prosper Bazombaza.

Now in its 2nd year running, the Republic of Uganda has a stall at the exhibition grounds with Uganda Wild Life Authority, Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda Airlines. Ajuna Tours and Travels, and the Mission staff marketing Uganda's potential.

 

 

The exhibition has drawn participants from members states of the East African Community with the region's major Airlines and participants from the private sector showcasing the tourism potential of the region. The event will also brought together major stake holders in the tourism industry from the EAC to a round table discussion on challenges in the sector and also share knowledge on how the EAC can be a key tourism destination globally.
